Aromatic compounds that have an ortho structure are problematic in terms of health.
DOP is included in the list of Endocrine – Disrupting – Chemicals (EDGS). These types of compounds, by interfering with the work of hormones, may cause problems such as: diabetes, infertility, types of cancer, especially breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men.
For this reason, its use is prohibited in Canada and the United States and is very limited in Europe.
